We cast an epicurean, quirky, joyful and urban eye over fooding. We do not aim at saving nor feeding the world.

We are not really used to coups d'Etat. When it happens, as it is the case in Mali right now, we are a bit disconcerted. We must stay at home, enjoying a curfew and hearing shots. We cannot attempt to go out, even in our beekeeper clothes. it is not advised even if we carry a smoke making instrument to keep unwelcome people away or if we use the beehive top as a shield.

If we are fortunate enough to have stocked wine before it all started, we can wait for the fighting to end while enjoying a nice glass of wine. For the white, we recommand a Domaine Aujard Reuilly 2010 and for the red, Joël Delaunay Cot 2008. These are two beautiful wines that we discovered in Bamako, thanks to Sonia Keïta who is specialised in importing high quality wines from the Loire Valley. Her wine shop, Bacchus, is located next to Blabla bar. It might not be open today..
