Planes occasionally get delayed and leave you hungry while waiting. Plane food is often revolting despite sporadic efforts to improve it. People rushing about would have left home without time for breakfast. These are several good reasons for enjoying food-to-go to take in the waiting room or on to the plane.
And instead of the usual grim and dull fast foods, the British chef Jamie Oliver developped a new concept at London Gatwick Airport.
The food-to-go branding and packaging was developped by The Plant and is based on the 'joy of flying' idea, incorporating airport rumble strips, city flight codes, passport stamps and some plane iconography. The food-to-go packaging goes with the strap-line ‘Beautifully Fast Food’. What a challenge !
The food could even be tasty...
