|Table avec bouteille (2011), Roman Signer|
Take the train to Reims, enter a strange neo-Elizabethan castle. Go down the 116 steps leading to the cellars… Slowly get snatched by the stones rustle and smell. Make your way around the red mobiles, hung at ground level, accompany the rise of a beam of light. Meet burlesque then fear, allow yourself to get confused by a noisy installation. Get lost in labyrinths of orderly bottles, end up at the heart of immense quarries. Contemplate Louise Pommery's ingenuity, as she decides in 1868, to connect ancient Gallo-Roman chalk pits in order to create a timeless space, that will witness the birth of the Brut ''a wine as dry as possible but without stiffness, a wine which is soft, smooth and well melted...''
